While you tour, you’ll be exploring the culinary masterpieces of Pittsburgh. Burgh Bits and Bites was established in 2008 by Sylvia, a first-generation Pittsburgher who has roots all over Europe. Her passion for history came from her volunteer work with the Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation as a tour guide. With her found love for Steel City, she felt it was only natural to combine something everyone loves…food! Burgh Bits and Bites Tours now has 14 amazing tour guides to make sure you have as much fun as possible.

Tours

The Burgh Bits and Bites tours can be in various locations depending on where you would like to go. They offer locations in Butler, Saxonburg, the Strip District, South Side, Brookline, Lawrenceville and custom tours as well. If you’re up for exploring, you can take a tour of each of these places and find something yummy and new at each destination. Burgh Food Tours will provide a melting pot of ethnic eateries, specialty shops, local produce, and sidewalk vendors so that guests get an immersive experience like never before.

Each tour location has different times and eateries available. For example, Strip District Tours are during late mornings and early afternoons on weekdays. Guests will get to see the behind the scenes of Pittsburgh’s historic market district, linking local establishments along Penn Avenue. This tour will get to sample eats from around the globe including Italian Pastries, Mediterranean, Polish Specialties, and European meats and bread.
