It’s 2020, and sitting inside the building is no longer mandatory to enjoy a meal from your favorite restaurant. In fact, we highly suggest ordering takeout and bringing the place to you. Since Pittsburgh is full of amazing options, we wanted to make it easier for you by breaking down some of our favorite options that we think anyone will enjoy.
Took Took 98
It’s entirely possible to enjoy Thai street food right at home, on your very own couch! Skip the busy streets and grab Took Took 98 to go. They have soups, salads, and snacks served all day, and brunch if you’re into that, too.
In the snacks category lies crowd favorites like Crispy Rolls stuffed with veggies and served with sweet chili sauce for dipping, Golden Tofu deep fried and served with chili sauce and a peanut garnish, and Calamari battered and served with the same delicious sweet chili sauce. Popular soups include the Tom Kha made with coconut broth and assorted veggies, the Tom Yum made with lemongrass broth and the same assorted veggies, and Veggie Tofu Soup which features a mix of veggies in a vegetable broth. Salad lovers can get their fix from three amazing options: Papaya Salad, Noodle Salad, and Pork Salad.
Wild Rosemary
If you want something classy for your night in, this is the place for you. Their menu is short and sweet, with stunning choices like Chilean Sea Bass, Beef Filet, Summer Scallops, Pork Chop, and Veal Rib Chop. Each dish comes with a scrumptious side, different depending on the meal, but including garlic bread, asparagus, corn off the cob, fancy pants carrots, cowboy fries, and apple/fennel salad. Bring gourmet right to your table! *Note, Wild Rosemary is briefly closed but will reopen on September 17.

Driftwood Oven, Lawrenceville
What kind of takeout blog would this be without mentioning an amazing pizza option? Driftwood Oven is open for takeout and is ready to bring you the highest quality slices to take home and enjoy. Their current menu is a show-stopper, starting with the Smoked Paprika Baba Ganoush and Kale Caesar salad, and working it’s way all the way up to house regulars like the Buffalo Chicken pizza and Pepperoni pizza. If you want something a little out of the box, we recommend the Market Pie which has an assortment of flavors like cherry tomatoes, sweet corn, mixed peppers, herbed ricotta, mozzarella, provola, white-wine shallot cream sauce, and morita chili oil. Another pick? The Greenfielder, which is loaded with arugula and basil pesto, mozzarella, fresh garlic, buttercup cheese, and aged balsamic vinegar.
You can’t go wrong with any of these Pittsburgh classics!
